The Role

Assistant Headteacher


This is a permanent, full time role


Camberwell Park Specialist Support School is a large SEND primary school in North Manchester with 188 pupils on roll. Our friendly and welcoming school is split across two modern buildings on our site on Brookside Road in Moston. Our hardworking and committed staff support pupils with a range of additional needs to help them achieve their full potential.

The Governors at Camberwell Park wish to appoint an outstanding teaching practitioner who is committed to providing high quality teaching and learning to ensure our pupils achieve the best possible outcomes.  You will have an integral role on the Senior Leadership Team

The successful candidate will have:

·        Experience and the ability to demonstrate leadership skills

·        To be able to demonstrate whole school impact on a core curriculum subject

·        A sound, practical knowledge of a range of teaching strategies suitable for pupils with SEND

·        A full understanding of the National Curriculum and how to adapt it for pupils with SEND

·        Be an outstanding classroom practitioner in the primary phase, demonstrating creativity, initiative and excellent organisation skills

·        Have a commitment to ongoing professional development

·        Work with rigorous systems of assessment and use this data meaningfully to enhance pupil progress and maintain the highest possible standards.

·        Have the knowledge & drive to lead a subject throughout the school

·        Be able to work co-operatively and effectively as part of a team.

·        Have a commitment to support the wider aspects of school life.

·        Excellent interpersonal skills

 

You will be responsible in providing the highest quality of education and care for our pupils to enable them to live happy and successful lives.
